Global plastic production is reaching worrying heights, reaching 400 million tons a year.
Switzerland alone accounts for 790,000 tons of plastic waste per year (from all sources). Currently 80% of this waste is incinerated. Only a small proportion, around 15%, is recycled or reused. ^[1]

The alarming fact that only 15% of plastic bottles are recycled indicates that the status quo is unacceptable. It’s time to embrace responsible consumption.

Our approach focuses on education and the promotion of responsible behavior. We encourage the adoption of beverage dispensers without single-use containers, creating an environment where beverage consumption is synonymous with sustainability.

Awareness-raising and education

SDG 11: Sustainable cities and communities^[4]

Drinkotec is intensifying its awareness-raising efforts. We all need to understand the crucial role we play in this crisis.

We are committed to working closely with key players in the environmental protection sector, as well as with local authorities, companies and managers eager to initiate change alongside us.

Together, we can work to create more environmentally-friendly spaces, reducing the impact of plastic waste.

We are committed to maintaining full transparency regarding the environmental impact of our products and our progress towards the Zero-PET transition.

Environmental impacts are at the heart of our consciousness, and our solutions bear witness to our determination, such as our NEO distributor, which is 99% renewable, made of wood and aluminum. We believe in it, and we’re already taking action, right down to the design of our machines.
